Terms and conditions for return/exchange

  • All our products are handmade so a little bit of inconsistency has to be ignored.
  • As we are committed to give you the best quality products, therefore each and every piece of ours undergoes stringent quality check at every stage of the weaving process.
  • We at Sifat are committed to provide a pleasant, hassle free online shopping experience.
  • Thus our cancellation, return and exchange policy is very simple and transparent.
  • Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours.
  • In that case your payment will be refunded back to your account in the next 15 days, after deducting transaction charges.
  • 2.9% for domestic and 3.75 for international.
  • Orders of Yardages cannot be cancelled once they are cut.
  • An email will be sent to you once your order is shipped, therefore if the product is couriered then it cannot be cancelled.
  • Orders are shipped in 2 or 3 working days.
  • All Sarees and dupattas that has been tassled, on which fall and pico has been done will not be cancelled.
  • Please note: There may be slight or noticeable variation in the colour of the product from the actual item. It occurs due to the texture of the fabric, varied lighting conditions and different screen size. So we use the name of the family of colours along with the specific color name for greater clarity.
  • Colour variation will not be a reason for exchange or return.
  • Sifat Banaras has the right to cancel the order due to unavoidable reasons. You will be informed within 24 hours about it on the mail. Your payment will be re-credited into your account without any delay from our side.


  • Items on sale will not be eligible for return / exchange.
  • Yardages once sold will not be returned exchanged.
  • Sarees /dupattas ordered with tassels, fall , piko will not be returned or exchanged.
  • Individual piece of suit sets will not be exchanged or returned.
  • Colour variation in the products will not be a reason for return/exchange.
  • Delay in delivery will also not be a reason for return or exchange.
  • If you find a defect in our product immediately contact us at support@sifat. with pictures and the reasons for the same. We shall review the problem and ask you to send us the product.
  • The returned item will be accepted only if they are in their original packaging, tags, invoices, bags.
  • Product would not be accepted if it is washed,used, altered damaged, soiled, has any kind of stains and not in its original condition as per our policy.
  • Hence the return will not be processed and Sifat Banaras has the right to send the item back to the customer.
  • The return/ exchange item must reach us within 7 days.
  • Refund/ exchange is at the sole discretion of Sifat Banaras.
  • Please note that there is no guarantee if an identical product will be available in the stock for exchange purpose.
  • As it is handcrafted product there may be slight variation in the dimensions of the products such as sarees, dupattas, blouse pieces.
